Jalen Dresel, Born on April the 4th (4+4=8) at 5:03 a.m. (5+3=8). The number 8 represents SUCCESS, POWER, EMPOWERMENT & ABUNDANCE. This number has been a major part of Ocho’s life since his first breath of air. By this number’s nature he is an over achiever. Riddled with superior business sense, he carries a powerful presence, and a strong drive for success. The 8 is also a symbol of BALANCE. On its side it is the symbol for infinity, as if infinite potential was Ocho’s God given birthright.

“The Melancholy Wordsmith”
Growing up in a musical household, Ocho’s parents introduced him to a wide variety of music, including all genres and generations. An eclectic mix of hiphop ,alternative , gospel, rock, heavy metal, R&B, as well as, soul music was an integral part of his upbringing . As a teenager, Ocho’s mom introduced him to the writings of Edgar Allan Poe. This would be the Genesis of what would lead to his passion for writing. This eventually evolved into a collage of intertwining ,ear catching, mind bending, rhythmic, poetic lyricism. His song writing skills encompass poetic devices filled with immense emotion and storytelling. The emo/alternative influences of many greats before him are channeled, when the “Allan Poe” alter ego is invoked. This is enhanced with top notch production and composition. Simply put, OAP loves to create musical artistry that is thought provoking, high vibrational, and substantively ear pleasing.

He can hype the crowd up on a song, but later leave them thinking and sometimes, dreaming on the next. OAP is a college graduate of the University of North Texas. He is also a young, driven, entrepreneur. He is an Owner/ Operator of a family diner “Hav-R Charburger”. This restaurant is a 42-year-old staple in the Dallas area. Further, Ocho is co- owner of his own Black owned wine & spirits venture. He is set to release “Aviator Vodka” nationally, in partnership with Aviator Watch Company, a global Swiss watch company. Additionally, he has already released “Tresor Federal Brandy VSOP” in addition to a portfolio of other products.
